Floods
HEavy rain and lots of floods this week. Cork city badly hit with the western suburbs and the west of the county flooded. No drinking water for large parts of the city including Mum's house. Tough times for people out there. Glad we are not affected. The road to passage is flooded tho and has been for a few days. Still very passable though.
Went out to get some plumbing stuff for the washing machine. what a nightmare. everytime i go to get stuff to get it plumbed in i get a new steer. i think i'll just pay the man to do it for me. there's talk of a trap now. where does it end. in fairness ob plumbing were very helpful.
off to holland the week after next with work. that'll be something to look forward to at least. won't see much of the place but a day out of the office and good networking in europe. never would've happend in IT i can tell you.

P8
P8 has a lot in it.
10% corridor - use the opening balances for obligation and asset to calculate the corridor and not the closing balances. Net off the assets and liablities and any unrecognised gains or losses to get the balance sheet figure.
Know IAS1 layout for the consolidate income statement and know where to put the figures for profit from associate and the MI figure.
Phew. And all this before cash flow. what an effort
